I have seen the pics long time ago, masa study kat US dulu. Frankly, I don't think the picture was doctored, it looked too real.

Sheryl ... I think that the pictures are real becuse if you look at the whole range of pictures, they are very difficult to fake. Suffice to say, just look at her locket - to me difficult to fake. Si Edry tu pun I rasa genuine tapi in his case tak banyak sgt gamber muka dia ... only of his penis.

I honestly don't know why this issue surfaces 'cept maybe to coincide with the release of her album. Maybe she thought she can be exonerated once and for all.

Another one tu tak payah mention nama tapi suffice to say she made a living telling aspiring singers how to sing and how bad their voices are. ("Soooo stuck up!" Ingat tak?) Jimy, FYI for a house of RM100,000.00, we lawyers only get RM1,000.00 legal fees for SPA. Loan Agreement pun sama RM1,000.00 plus about RM100-200 for each extra document that we prepare. The rest are all disbursements (incl govt tax 5%) which do not go to us but are payments made out to various parties (e.g. stamping, registration etc.). In case you are interested to know, the biggest item in the bill is not our legal fees (as you may think) but the stamp duty which doesn't go to us but to the govt.

For a house of RM200,000.00, you only pay us RM1,500.00 legal fees plus the rest are disbursements. Anything below RM100,000.00 we only charge 1% legal fees. Dahlah tu, everytime we present our Bill to clients mintak discount. Bila kita explain yg. Bar Council doesn't allow discounts, mulalah make statements like lawyers getting rich, menindas oranglah etc. etc. etc.

FYI the scale fees are set out in the Solicitors Remuneration Order so I wish that you would consult the SRO before making statements like the above because I certainly can't recall in my many years of practice anyone charging RM10K for a purchase of a RM100-200K house. Kalau ada lawyer charge you that amount obviously you've been diddled by him/her so let me know her name and I'll gladly lodge a report on your behalf to the Bar Council.

Regarding saman malu RM10million tu pulak, there are no scale fees for litigation matters so a lawyer is entitled to charge accordingly for the amount of work done. Obviously, if you choose to hire a high-profile lawyer (I won't mention any names), you have to pay accordingly for their name (er...I think it's called economics) whereas it is possible that a lower-profile lawyer may be able to do the job equally well. Obviously, RM10m suits don't come everyday and in most cases, the matter is all that more complex so obviously more work needs to be done so the fees are naturally higher.

Most Elite songs are pretty catchy and nice to hear, BUT don't ever try to see them singing Live (well, we can't now, deorang dah berpecah) - I think Elite and Feminin mmg jual the same products, lagu2 yang catchy and machine-altered voice. Bila kena buat real stage show, then you'd realise.

Actually after Gee No. 1 album, she came out with another album titled Menjauhkan Diri, but guess what, we never heard of it, whether the promotion was terrible or there are simply too many woman singers in the market for the time being, it's time for her to go.

Rose, pernah dengar sekali dua je dalam radio, lepas tu died down. Maybe the promotional was poor kot. Because kalau nak terpasang dalam corong ni perlu promotion, not solely based on lagu tu quality or not. (yes, that's right, there are some crappy songs but still being aired on radios anyway, mainly due to promo la)

Lagu dia, mcm lagu Balada normal la, not so bad. But the song dah tak ke udara langsung. I doubt there is even any MP3 cetak rompak kat online sharing program pun.

Talking about playing time on the air, not only the DJs get something to playing certain tunes..... I have heard rumours that DJs or stations get paid not to play some songs especially if the singer is not from a big recording company.

You know Rizraz, I asked my friend who works with AMP (Astro radio stations nya admin/management arm) if it's true that DJs can be sogok-ed into playing certain songs semalam when I met him for lunch.

He explained that for Era, they have a 5-member committee who'd pick and choose songs that they think the targetted listeners will listen to. The songs must have the consensus of at least 4 members.

Then the songs pulak ada listings - A, B, C and so forth. The "A" songs are usually rotated 4-hourly. B is played maybe once in 8 hours etc etc.

Tapi these songs are excluding the dedications/permintaan segments of the radio station la (which I think for Era is er 3 till late night ek?).

So he said it'll be wee bit difficult to bribe the DJs and more importantly the 5-member committee tu lah.

*shrugs* Just telling what I was told semalam :D

I dont like Pop Ye Ye or Hak Milik Kekal but I lurrrve Pening (Ezzyn & Dato' M Daud Kilau) - main whole day pun takpe. Also the new Melly-Kris duet (the one from APM 2005)
