An "early bird" from Kuala Kangsar informed me that the HM has plan to put all new F5s or new F4s (in today's lingo 'burungs') as prefects at Prep School and New Hostel, presumably as an attempt to deny the current Form 5 any influence on the juniors. New F4s and new F5s, because of the relative time spent in college and largely by tradition, is less rebellious.

I shudder to think how a Form 4, who had just enrolled one week and freshies himself, will have to look after one whole batch.

Even a non-thoroughbred Form 5 prefect at Prep School is a rarity (in fact a burung prefect was a rarity even in my time) - let alone a new F4 becoming a prefect.

Nude woman police abuse clip sparks uproar

A one-minute mobile phone video clip showing a woman being forced to strip naked and do ear squats in a police station has sparked an outroar with both the government and opposition calling for the police to be taken to task.

“This should not have happened. If police personnel are really involved, then this is police abuse,” Home Minister Azmi Khalid told a press conference in Parliament after viewing the clip.
