We had monthly contests starting in June and ending in September 2005 (the one in October just got cold and died off ...) and finally we've received the cash for payout to the winners! Hurray!!! We're very sorry that things took too long. The fact that the money comes from sponsors in US meant that we needed some time to receive and cash the cheque. We've managed to cashed it at the rate of RM3.746 to USD1, and our cash payout has been adjusted accordingly.

So here are the list of the receipients for the payout, and the amount of money received in RM. Some get substantially more than the rest, but that reflected the amount of contributions they have made to the site. Congrats to all.

We finally have the proper tools to create albums and upload photos. For the regulars of the Pictures from Your Own Collection forum, please create your own albums and upload your beautiful photos by clicking here.

Uploaded photos are open for comments and, in the future, ratings. We hope members of the community would love this new feature. We know that we do. :)

Please be informed that several roads in Kuala Lumpur will be closed in stages during certain hours from the 12th to the 14th of December due to the 11th ASEAN Summit.

Thanks to FK's feedback and recommendations, BBCode, the piece of tagging codes our site members used to display images, format fonts and create hyperlinks in the previous version has made a comeback in this new version. All the previous postings containing BBCode are now rendered correctly to display the precious pictures and quoted texts.

We have also switched off the comment title box so users won't have to bother to squeeze their creative juices to think of appropriate titles for their comments.

For those who have tried to use the 'Search' box at the top right corner recently, you may have noticed that the search couldn't find any results whatsoever. That was because we didn't index this site for internal searching.

So we did so in the afternoon, executing tonnes of SQL statements and exceeded the limit set by our web host (those who visited the site between 1:15pm to 1:40pm might see the error message). After all the trouble, we managed to get almost 50% of the site indexed. We'll continue to index the site as we go along as the exercise takes more computing resources then what we have available.

Yup, as a registered user of mckk8286.com, you now have your own personal blog in this site. At the top of the navigation panel on your right, there's a link called 'my blog.'

Why would anybody want to do their blogging business here? Firstly, with our substantial amount of daily traffic, you’d be able to gain more readerships for your blog. Secondly, in the spirit of our close knit online community, we’d be able to keep closer tabs on each other.

We’ll be installing more blog themes in the future for you to choose for your blog instead of the current default theme of this site. Heck, if you have an active blog, and we could find some free time, we’ll do a custom blog skin just for you.

Our brand new forum board is now functional. We have granted the necessary access for all of our registered users to view, read and post new topics and comments to the board.

The private forums which you have previously enjoyed are still here, but we'd need to configure all the different access rights before each of the users could view what they are entitled to. That will happen in the next several weeks.

Yet to come are the inclusion of avatars, user points and the conversion of the improper BBCode tags ([img], [b], etc ...). Of course we'll also change the website theme to reflect our identity.
